- The route can be completed in either direction, but this guide describes it from Ayder to Hazindak.
- The trail starts from the Ayder village center minibus station, passes under the bridge, and joins a path after crossing a small bridge over the river.
- The first section runs entirely through forested terrain, with some steep segments.
- Along the way, you’ll encounter wooden steps, small stream crossings, and footbridges.
- In several places, chains fixed to trees provide safety on narrow or exposed sections.
- After ascending through the forest, you’ll emerge onto open ground where the houses of Hazindak Plateau come into view (around 4.6 km).
- From here to Pokut Plateau, the trail follows an unpaved mountain road (up to 11 km).
- Both the trail and the road can become muddy in foggy or rainy weather.
- About 1 km before Pokut, you’ll pass through a meadow known as Ernetabın Düzü, then arrive at Pokut Plateau.
- Completing the entire route in a single day is quite exhausting, so it’s recommended to stay overnight at Pokut.
- From the uppermost houses of Pokut, look for the trailhead descending toward Makrevis.
- After entering the path, continue along the ridge line for a while before gradually re-entering the forest.
- When you reach Makrevis Ridge (18.5 km), expect steeper descents ahead.
- The trail zigzags down to the upper neighborhood of Makrevis Village.
- After a brief road section, rejoin the historic stone trail leading toward Kalif Café.
- This area can be slightly confusing, so it’s important to follow the route markers carefully.
- From Kalif, the path connects to the main asphalt road, which you follow to reach Çamlıhemşin town center.
